My research concerns the structure and evolution of galaxies. I focus on the interstellar medium (ISM) and the interplay between the ISM and the rest of the galaxy (stars, dark matter). The ISM serves as the raw material for future star formation activity, reveals the past history of a galaxy, and is a useful tracer of the mass distribution. I work on elliptical, spiral, and dwarf galaxies.
